At Ivanhoe Cycles, we are always striving to provide the best value and widest range of bikes to the cycling public.
Bikes that will cater to the needs and budgets of as wide a range of people as possible.
We are constantly on the lookout for new and exciting options that excite and seize the interest of buyers who are looking at purchasing a new road bike. Be it an upgrade, or an entry into the road bike scene, we always have something to suit.
On occasions, this means that we will bulk purchase a range or brand of bike that we haven\‘t previously stocked. We are well aware that the end customer (you) loves a bargain, and we are no different! If a supplier offers us a deal to clear his Warehouse and we are happy with the product and the sale price we can offer, then it’s smiles all around as our happy customers snap up bikes at bargain prices.
We have a few, full carbon Malvern Star Oppy road bikes still available in sizes M/L to Large. The C4 is on sale at just $1,499, which is extraordinary value for a bike with a frame as good as this one. The C4 normally sells for $1899, but with our bulk buy, we have been able to knock hundreds off the selling price.
The Malvern Star C4 carbon frame is of monocoque construction and features all the specifications expected of a modern frame such as internal cable routing, tapered head tube, press-fit bottom bracket and compact aerodynamic styling. Coupled with a full carbon fork with a tapered steerer tube (1 inch and 1 1/8 inch sealed bearings) the C4 is a lovely package, that performs and handles wonderfully well. Getting yourself on to a full carbon bike has never been so inexpensive. The Oppy C4 is lightweight, stiff and inexpensive, ticking all the boxes most people are considering.
The Shimano 18 speed components with compact cranks and a wide range 11 to 30 tooth rear cassette provide a range of gears with some top end speed, but more importantly enough lower gears to get you up the hills.
Perhaps not a bike you would go and actually race on, but certainly a bike that would see you well in contention among any of the bunches on Beach Road, out through the Dandenongs or parked out front of your favourite coffee shop.
A great bike for those moving along from a hybrid or flat bar road bike, or even from an older road bike.
