Rocky Mountain Bikes

Born in British Columbia, Canada 39 years ago, Rocky Mountain is as Canadian as it gets. Imbued in mountain bike culture, they have helped push the sport to where it is today. Crafting frames that were ahead of their time and helping mountain bikers ride impossibly steep and technical terrain and live to tell about it.

They are here today because Rocky Mountain has a reputation for quality materials, superb handling, attention to detail and service.

If you’re after a new Rocky Mountain then we have bikes from their recreational range:

/ ROCKY MOUNTAIN SOUL 20

A superb recreational mountain bike that’s perfect for riders who are spending time on bike paths, rail trails and easy mountain bike tracks.

/ ROCKY MOUNTAIN GROWLER 40

A more aggressive type of mountain bike. Designed for those riders who are spending more time mountain biking in the woods and pushing their skills. It’s extremely stable and planted so that when you’re pushing said skills, you’re less likely to eat dirt.

And their performance range:

/ ROCKY MOUNTAIN THUNDERBOLT (130MM REAR WHEEL TRAVEL)

Affectionately known as the Dog. It's the bike you want because it may be short on travel than its siblings but it will get you down some nasty trails in one piece.

It fast (very fast), fun as hell to ride and punches above its weight (making you a far better rider than you were before). The Thunderbolt is capable of outriding bikes with more travel - unless it’s one its Rocky Mountain siblings of course.

/ ROCKY MOUNTAIN INSTINCT (140MM REAR WHEEL TRAVEL)

The most versatile trail bike in the range. It sits perfectly between the Thunderbolt and Altitude. If you’re venturing into the unknown (a trip to NZ, a marathon event or some secret trails you’ve heard about and want to go exploring), the Instinct is the bike you would take.

It pedals extremely efficiently because it has amazing support through every millimetre of its 140mm. So if you feel like doing something crazy (like hitting that rock garden at warp speed), the Rocky Mountain Instinct will see you through to the other side safely. It makes riding fast and loose easy.

3/ ROCKY MOUNTAIN ALTITUDE (150MM REAR WHEEL TRAVEL)

The bike that put Rocky Mountain on the map. It’s the bike you want when you’re riding into the unknown and you need to pedal God knows how long. It’s an Enduro bike that pedals more like an efficient trail bike. There’s no place where it isn’t suited to riding.
